The Minho region is situated in the northwest corner of Portugal. The region lays between mountains in the east and the ocean to the west. To the north it is flanked by the river whose name the region has taken and to the south lays the rest of the country. An ever green land where one can eat sinfully well and whose inhabitants curse with a total freedom that would shock their southern compatriots.

Every page of this book was drawn pixel after pixel under the influence of the cross-stitching techniques of the Lovers' Handkerchiefs, and as a result of various trips through the region. It is a book plentiful filled with illustrations about Minho. The region's delicacies are there, but also the old-fashioned motorbikes, the classic straw coats and the traditional village's bull.
